City seeking artist for City Hall project, Public Open House November 14
Call for Artists
The City has set aside approximately $90,000 of the City Hall budget to go towards public art. The City seeks an artist or team of artists to develop a permanent public artwork that is relevant to the community and the City Hall site. Mountlake Terrace has a policy of spending at least 1 percent of the construction budget on public facility projects on public art.
Examples of previous art installations on public projects are the bears by the library, the woman statue by the police station and the firefighter with young girl statue by the fire station.
Applications are due October 28 and more information can be found here.
