Creekside Meadows revised with enhanced pedestrian circulation, smaller footprint

Creekside Meadows is the planned unit development project proposed for the 9+ acre former Creekside Church property on 226tth St SW near 70th Ave W. The project has been redesigned several times. Early concepts proposed 55 homes, a later version had 49 homes and the most recent iteration contains 56 single-family homes.

The proposal clusters many of the homes around a common green in the SW portion of the site. Some other recent design changes include more homes with direct access to the common green, an improved and comprehensive pedestrian circulation system and a double-loaded alley to access garages. The proposed building lots have also been pulled away from the wooded hillside on the eastern portion of the site. The project has one point of vehicular access off of 226th St SW with an additional emergency and pedestrian access point that lines with 70th Ave W to the south.

The original developer was Sundquist Homes who also developed the Atworth Commons project in Mountlake Terrace. Sundquist Homes was purchased by Century Communities last year.

An open house on the proposal is planned some time in November, and public meetings/hearings for preliminary approval are scheduled toward the end of the year.
